Starting October 2nd in the Great Smoky Mountains, the Apple Valley Harvest Festival at The Apple Barn & Cider Mill gets underway in Sevierville, Tennessee as one of the sweetest events of the fall in this beautiful area of the southeast! The free festival returns for two weekends, October 2–4 and October 9–11, with fresh apple treats, family fun, and plenty of fall flavor. Festival activities have included live bluegrass and local music, apple-pressing demonstrations, antique tractors, herding dog shows, fly-fishing demonstrations, children’s activities, BBQ, cider tastings, local wine, and plenty of apple desserts.

After enjoying the festival, you can explore the entire Apple Barn property at 230 Apple Valley Road. The centerpiece is a former cattle barn built in 1910 from wormy chestnut and English walnut grown on the farm. Inside, the General Store is packed with apple butter, cider, mixes, candy, gifts, and other local treats. Visitors can stop at the Cider Bar for fresh cider and baked goods, watch cider, candy, and ice cream being made, visit the Creamery, sample wines and hard ciders, eat at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant & Grill, and even stroll along the Little Pigeon River.
