Did you know not all airlines are created equal when it comes to baggage? 🧳
It is so important to pay attention to the baggage restrictions AT THE TIME of booking your flight! ✈️
Most airlines allow one checked bag per passenger with a weight limit of 50 lbs. ⚖️
Frontier however limited us to 40 lbs when we flew from Philadelphia to Mexico this June! That is so tough for an over-packer like me!
Take this into account when you book. Or, use a travel agent! Your agent will have all of the details and reminders so you won’t need to worry. 🩵

7 years ago last month, my family and I took a trip across country from PA to West Yellowstone in Wyoming. We got to see some of the most breathtaking views including Devil's Tower, the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial and of course- Yellowstone park itself.

While the trip was fun, educational, beautiful, and way too short- we weren't just on vacation. We were fulfilling my dad's final wishes and bringing his ashes to scatter over the upper falls. (You are totally not allowed to do that, but he was never a rule follower and so that week- neither were we!)

I highly recommend everyone make this trip at least once- pics do it no justice! And, if you do, leave the park through the north entrance. Drive the bear tooth highway. I can't even put into words how incredible the views were. We got out of the car at the peak to play in the AUGUST snow.

That being said, today is Dad's birthday. He has been gone for 10 years and 10 months almost exactly. (11/12/13). He'd be 71 today. There aren't a lot of words that do him justice, either. I get to say that I had a really really great Dad. I am forever grateful for that. I just wish we all got to have him a while longer.

I love and miss him every minute. If the sun comes out at all today, I will go spend some time at the ocean. He loved that too. We may not have a boardwalk, or Mack's pizza down here in NC, but something tells me he would have liked it just the same. Happy birthday, old man💙 I hope I’ve made you proud.

Did you know that you don’t need a passport for every exotic vacation?🧳✈️
If you are going to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, or even a closed loop cruise (leaves and returns to same US port) you do not need a passport to travel! 🛂
I do recommend having one on a cruise just in case you need to fly back to the US from one of the stops in case of an emergency. This likely will never happen, but best to be prepared! But you truthfully do not need one. 🩵 🚢

Do you make your bed?

I find that making my bed on the days that I have the time to (which is honestly rare 🤣) really makes me feel like I have it together! That may or may not be true.

One of my favorite parts of vacation? Sleeping in a big comfy bed and not having to make it in the morning 🤍✨

I have done solo, couple, family, and group trips and honestly I don’t know if I could pick one- I’ve loved them all! This is a pic from my favorite trip this year, in Costa Mujeres Mexico 🇲🇽
My hunnie came on this trip with me but we still found solo time. He’s a “hit the gym and keep up my fitness routine even on vacation” traveler, I’m a “put my 🍑 in the sand and get lost in a good book” traveler. 🥰 What about you?
