Finland - Suomi Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a Nordic country situated in the Fennoscandian regio Finland is a country not easy to categorize.

Its attractions, though great, are often subtle and sometimes enigmatic; it also displays some striking paradoxes. It is a nation defined as much by its language as anything else, yet Runeberg, usually named the national poet, wrote in Swedish.
