The Blue Ox will be a boutique Hotel, located near the southern shores of Nicaragua and 20 minutes from the town of San Juan del Sur; a vibrant town of locals, expats, and travelers. The
Blue Ox will be nestled in the hills above the Pacific coastline providing sprawling views of the ocean horizon, tree-lined ridges and valleys, and Costa Rica in the distance. To the south you’ll find Playa Marsel
la whose calm waters provide a family-friendly day at the beach. A shared path with direct beach access leaves your day of sun and surf just a short walk away. The Blue Ox will be designed based on three essentials: comfort, cost, and connection and will be built from the ground up with great attention on modern minimalist design. At the same time, the central idea of The Blue Ox is to encourage the experience and engagement among guests rather than unit-based retreat. To this end, a centralized outdoor kitchen and grill will provide opportunity for great conversations around food. To compliment this, there will be a serviced kitchen providing light meals and snacks throughout the day and evenings. A pool will provide the perfect place to sip a cocktail with guests and escape the afternoon sun. Yoga instruction, game and event nights, group meals, and day excursions will complement the Blue Ox experience. Most of all, The Blue Ox concept is to be warm and inviting. We want to be the perfect place to find your well-deserved respite as well as feed your social side.
