We recently took a Jack the Ripper walking tour in London and were absolutely blown away by the experience. Our guide, Richard, was phenomenal—passionate, deeply knowledgeable, and incredibly inclusive. From the moment we began, it was clear he truly cares about the history and the people he’s sharing it with.

Richard brought the chilling story of Jack the Ripper to life with thoughtful storytelling, historical insight, and a respectful approach to such a sensitive topic. He gave everyone ample opportunity to ask questions, and we really appreciated hearing his personal thoughts and theories along the way—it made the experience feel even more engaging and authentic.

The small group size was perfect, allowing for a more personal and interactive atmosphere. We also loved the use of headsets—it meant we could hear every word clearly, even while walking through the busy streets of London.

The tour length was just right—long enough to be thorough, but perfectly paced so we never felt rushed. Honestly, for the quality of the experience, it was more than worth the price.

Delightful and informative tour. Richard was incredibly knowledgeable and very happy to share what he knew. An engaging orator with devices connected to microphone so he can be heard easily at all points of the tour like he’s standing right next to you.

Richard is a wealth of information and you can tell he is passionate about his work. We enjoyed his tour immensely even though it was cold and windy outside. He let us know that the frigid weather we were experiencing was the same temperature as the night of one of the murders. This made the plight of the homeless women who became the Ripper’s victims even more “chilling”. We highly recommend this tour and look forward to reading Richard’s forthcoming book.

This was an amazing tour! Richard was very knowledgeable of both facts and all the speculation documented about Jack the Ripper. I doubt you could find anyone more prepared on this subject than Richard. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed sharing that knowledge with everyone. It was fascinating.

I especially liked the sound assist device Richard supplied us. It made it so we could easily hear every detail he gave us. We came across other tours where the guides were having to yell over all the street noise. As well as all the attendees having to get up close and personal with everyone just to hear. I liked that I could hear Richard and could look around while imagining what it looked like back in the 1800s.

This tour is outside with a lot of walking and standing so heed the warning when it says “dress appropriately”. We had some that didn’t and unfortunately left the tour.

Hands down this tour is worth taking while you are in London.
