Even knowing we would damn near be eaten alive by mosquitoes, we couldn't wait to mushroom hunt after all of the recent rain. It felt as if every inch of the forest floor was fruiting. Amazing 🍄

Another amazing day in nature among the fungi! Today, we had friends join us. I love our "solitary" family walks very much, but I especially love when friends come along to share knowledge.

Most importantly, our lovely friend is pregnant. An abundance of life, life, and growth all around us. This is the life. ❤️🙏

This was a fruitful day! Beyond grateful for at least some rain. Fungi needs moisture... so do we!!

We did a quick hunt at Violet Cury. Our most favorite find was the huge bolete! It weighed at least 2 lbs!! Cardinals were all around us.

We visited my beloved Grandma in her nursing home after. She kept trying to feed Isaac her fish lunch she didn't want, so it was a short trip. 😅
