You must try a traditional Portuguese restaurant while in Porto. A Cozinha do Manel is amazing and cannot be missed! had outstanding food. We started with a buttery cheese, and then got the braised veal and steak. Portugal has been amazing for meat dishes, but is not huge when it comes to veggies on the side (besides potatoes). Also spent the day exploring more of Porto. Nice way to spend our final night in this amazing city. I would say 2 - 3 nights is enough here, as you can see a lot of you put on some good walking shoes and explore all day.

Porto is a captivating city to explore. It’s easy to get lost in the windy streets and narrow alleyways, discovering a cool cafe or Restaurante tucked away. Not crammed with tourists but just enough to keep it lively, this 900 year old city is a must see. You can get a great view of Porto at Torres dos Clerigos, at the top of the bell tower. It’s 10 euro per person to enter and you have to walk up. But if you want to avoid the hike up, the view from Dom Luis 1 bridge will give you a similar idea of the views above the city. For ease of getting around, you can rent a Bolt scooter (Porto is quite hilly) or uber. But I always find walking is best.

A must-do when in the Algarve is the Benagil Cave tour, which includes not only the famous Benagil Cave but many others along the way! The boat tour is around 2 hours and it’s honestly one of the most stunning and captivating tours I have ever been on. This coastline is so dramatic and magical. We went from Portimao with Benagil Express and were on a zodiac with about 12 others.

Checked out Praia das Cabanas beach in Tavira today. You can only access it by boat (which you have to buy tickets for €1.50 per person). The boat y’aura you through a slough to a path that takes you over a sand dune to a glorious white sand beach. The water is warm, which is a bonus. There is also a restaurant, bathrooms and place to shower. Just be aware that the last boat out is at 7pm.

Discovered a hidden trail in the very ritzy area of Vale de Lobo just outside of Faro. The terrain here is stunning and changes at seemingly every turn. After an enjoying the stunning cliffs, continued westward to Olhas de Agua for more stunning scenery. Highly recommend renting a scooter or shall car and exploring the Algarve!

Albufiera transforms from lovely beach town to lively party town at night. If you’re looking to party and dance the night away, downtown Old Town might just be for you. If you prefer something a bit calmer…I recommend staying on the outskirts of Old Town away from the main square. Definitely a vibe!

Albufiera at night is quite stunning. The beach area in particular is quite dramatic with the rocky cliffs as a backdrop. Nice little walk beside the cliffs though. And the town at night is definitely lively. Partying until 3/4am seems the norm. Definitely get a hotel away from the strip if you want to sleep. 🇵🇹

Welcome to Lisbon! Spending the next few weeks in Portugal, so Lisbon is the easy first stop. Stayed at the lovely 5* hotel and spa. Comfortable, spacious rooms and sunny rooftop pool with full bar menu! Just outside of the historical centre surrounded by cute cafes and tree lined streets. A nice little intro to the city.
