Bikeparking A campaign to get more bike parking across the UK

As more and more of us are using cycles to get around we are all finding it more and more difficult to park our bikes securely. Our aim is to get more bike parking across the UK whether at schools, the work place, public areas or just about anywhere you might want to leave a bike. We want to arm individuals with the facts and material that they need in order to raise this with their employers, loc

al authorities or anyone who might need to consider providing secure bike parking facilities. The more bike parking spaces we get the more likely people are to use a bike to get around and so improve their health, their finances and importantly the immediate environment we all live in.

Decent infrastructure to keep cyclists separate from other traffic, and proper enforcement of traffic laws when cyclists and other road users have to mix are essential parts of creating a safe environment for cyclists.

Compared with some other countries, the UK has relatively limited cycle infrastructure, and dedicated cycle lanes are comparatively rare.
