Nat’s Palm Grove is a hidden little treasure off the beaten path on Savannah Bay. It’s a bit of a trek to get there, but well worth it!!

After a long ride down a dirt road, Nat’s appears at an opening of beautiful Savannah Bay, and you feel like you have stumbled upon a little colorful beach bar at the end of the world. It’s breezy, and Nat’s wife, Ethne, was welcoming & mixed us up some Mango Daiquiris while we looked over the menu.

We ordered the fish sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned fish between two fresh Johnny Cakes, and the Chicken & Ribs. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates!! We washed it all down with a tasty Rum Punch!

Although there was a bit of atypical sargassum on Savannah Bay, it didn’t stop us from enjoying the beautiful views, and a wonderful afternoon at a new favorite spot on Anguilla!

After many trips to Anguilla, I finally found my way to Sharky’s for dinner, and it was fantastic!! I had heard so much about the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto, and the Lobster Stir-Fry, and they both lived up to the hype!

We went all in on the lobster, starting with the Anguilla Lobster Cake. The Lobster & Shrimp Risotto and the Lobster Stir-Fry were huge servings, delicious, and beautifully presented. We topped it all off with the Orange Cranberry Bread Pudding. This was definitely one of our favorite meals on this trip, and the service was perfect as well!! Looking forward to our next visit!!

Two Tasty Lunches at Rendezvous ’s Beach Club and the original Tasty’s POV Anguilla! We enjoyed Tuna Tartare, a juicy Cheeseburger, and a Passion Fruit Mojito while enjoying the views of Rendezvous Bay at the Beach Club. We stopped at the original Tasty’s Anguilla before heading to the airport. They brought out fresh, hot Johnny Cakes to start, and then we had the Fish Sandwich & the Chicken Feta Cheese Salad. Everything was delicious at both locations, and the service was warm & welcoming!

Picante is a little Tex-Mex gem on the West End of Anguilla. Being from Texas, I was a little skeptical about how Tex-Mex in the Caribbean would measure up to Tex-Mex at home, but I can say it totally did! The Cadillac & Mango margaritas were some of the best I’ve had, and the Guacamole is THE best I’ve had in the Caribbean (outside of Mexico :) We also had the Grilled Chili-Queso Corn (similar to Mexican Street Corn), the Seafood Enchiladas, and the Picante Tacos with Steak. The Seafood Enchiladas were filled with crab, prawn , & lobster and smothered in a bubbly, cheesy seafood bisque. Holy Smokes! So good! The Picante Taco is a hard shell taco inside a flour tortilla with refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream sandwiched between the two. Everything was such a treat. When you get a hankering for Tex-Mex on Anguilla, head to Picante! 🌶️🍹🌮 🇦🇮

On our visit to The Vibe at Uncle Ernie’s, they were just about to shut down for the day, and they had already started closing the kitchen. We asked our host, Claire, if we could still get dinner & she graciously made it happen! We had the Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice, and the Stewed Oxtail with Rice & Peas, along with a couple of Rum Punches. It was all AMAZING! A huge thanks to Claire for allowing us to enjoy an awesome dinner even though it was closing time! 🙏🏼🇦🇮🫶🏼

A visit to St John wouldn’t be complete without a visit to La Tapa. La Tapa is a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant in Cruz Bay with a super groovy vibe.

We visited on Valentines Day, and the menu was a romance filled, aphrodisiacal masterpiece!

The descriptions of each course were priceless! We started with the langostino a la plancha with a blood orange & basil aioli (foreplay). Main (inter) course included the prime ribeye & diver scallops. The finale (the o**y 😂) was the flan & flourless chocolate cake with carajillo ice cream.

Every course was delicious and well thought out. The cocktails were fabulous also.

Wow! We had a wonderful experience at Extra Virgin Bistro in Cruz Bay, St John! The restaurant is in a beautiful setting just steps away from the hustle & bustle of town. Our reservation was at the bar, and bartenders, Jen & Julie, were extremely knowledgeable and fun!

Travel Pro Tip‼️When you sit at the bar you have the option of ordering the tasting menu, or ordering a la carte; whereas, in the dining room, only the tasting menu is offered. So if you’re not super hungry, you don’t have to order tons of food. With that said, we both ordered the tasting menu because we wanted to try everything lol! 🐷

Extra Virgin makes all their bread & pasta in house and they are dedicated to locally grown & sourced products. Most of the fish is from local fishermen, and they grow many of their herbs on site.

First course was Crispy Calamari & House Made Ricotta (we add the honeycomb). The calamari was delicious, but the Ricotta was absolutely out of this world! Second course was Italian Sausage & Herb Gnocchi and Wild Mushroom Pappardelle…both were exceptional! Finally, third course was Catch of the Day (Red Grouper & we added a Caribbean Lobster tail), and Braised Beef Short Rib. Once again both courses were extremely satisfying. We also had a Rum Away with Me from the bar, which was like a crafty version of a Painkiller…so yummy!

This was an exceptional dining experience, and I would highly recommend it! Make sure to make a reservation…they fill up fast!

Travel Pro Tip‼️ It seems the early bird gets the worm at some of St. John’s most popular beaches! Although nobody likes to set an alarm on vacation, it might not be a bad idea to make sure you’re able to find a parking spot at your preferred beach! It’s definitely worth it once you get there! This was at Hawksnest Bay Beach ☀️🏝️👍🏼
