Celebrate the coming of Spring with Calstock's famous May Day Revels, a festival about the ancient legend of the origins of the local rivers Tamar and Tavy. A giant puppet leads a procession through the village accompanied by musicians and dancers. It is quite a spectacle!

Tavistock Pannier Market has been crowned Britain's best as part of the Great British Market Awards 2025. Being only 20 minutes away, it is easy to visit from Okel Tor Mine, and well worth it.
