The Inca Terraces of Moray and the snow capped peaks of the Andes. Right in between is the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The green of the fields lasted throughout the rainy season, soon some shades of brown will prevale in our landscape providing a slightly different beauty.

Hiking in the Apurimac Valley near Cusco. This is a deep canyon with immense mountains. The Geography (as for most of Peru) is awe inspiring.
The straight distance between local villages is relatively short, but driving from A to B takes much longer than we would expect. A very off the beaten path and full of pleasant surprises corner of Cusco.

The Hiram Bingham, the most luxurious train service on the way to MachuPiccchu. It is operated by Belmond and it boasts a meal on board, a live band in the observation car, all the drinks and great service. It’s a treat for once in a lifetime experience indeed.
