Want the best seat in the house at the Oliver Triathlon Weekend? 🌊🏊‍♂️

We’re looking for confident, reliable water support volunteers to help keep our athletes safe in Tuc-el-Nuit Lake during one of the Okanagan’s biggest triathlon weekends, June 6–7 in Oliver.

📅 Volunteer Shifts:
Saturday, June 6: 6:15 AM – 9:15 AM
Sunday, June 7: 6:15 AM – 11:30 AM

Ideal for:
✅ Paddleboarders
✅ Kayakers
✅ Lifeguards
✅ Anyone who wants a front-row seat to race day magic

You’ll be part of the crew that helps athletes have a safe, epic day out on course 💙

🚨COMMUNITY NOTICE – WESTWOOD LAKE TRIATHLON | SUNDAY MAY 10 🚨

This Sunday, the Westwood Lake Triathlon is back in Nanaimo—bringing athletes from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond to race right here in your backyard.

With that comes increased activity on local roads, particularly along the bike course route (see map)

🚴‍♂️ What to Expect

* Higher volume of cyclists on roadways throughout the morning
* Traffic control personnel stationed at key intersections
* Modified traffic flow in select areas (including sections of Jingle Pot Rd and Westwood Rd)
* Activity primarily between 8:00am – 11:00am

⚠️ Please Plan Ahead

* Allow extra travel time Sunday morning
* Follow all directions from Traffic Control Personnel
* Use caution when driving—expect cyclists at all times
* If possible, consider adjusting travel routes or timing
