Last week, Friday Feedback was for our boutique enthusiasts; this week, it's for our friends who like their hotels with a capital H - as in "H" for Heritage, for Hospitality, and for History. No matter if your travels find you in the Lion City or speeding along the Wild Atlantic Way, if there is a legendary property nearby, we've scouted it. Three of our recent wows are in stories.

Known the world over for its ethereal beauty and sense of spiritualism, Bali is the kind of place where honeymooners rub elbows with yoga-mat-toting surfers in a kind of alternate universe too beautiful to be real. Far from one dimensional, the tiny island -- a mere 50 miles tall by 90 miles wide -- packs a powerful punch. The staggering cliffs of Uluwatu give way to the hip surf towns of Canggu, while the terraced rice fields of Ubud frame the secluded shores of East Bali. Today on the blog, we're unpacking our favorites on the Island of the Gods, including how it can serve as a launching point for more of Indonesia's magic. Link in stories & bio.

Sometimes you want the gorgeous, grande dame resort on the glittering stretch of coast, and other times you want the 12-room insider-y former monastery with a stellar restaurant tucked into a corner of Umbria. If you want to feel like you're staying in your own little secret hideaway, we have feedback on three boutiques we love today in Friday Feedback. Happy summering.

Located on 6,600 stunning acres in Big Sky Montana, the Ranch at Rock Creek is surrounded by soaring mountains, picturesque pine forests, and a vivacious river that runs through it all. Rock Creek is a working ranch and an all-inclusive experience, and most guests take advantage by packing their days with activities, ranging from horseback riding and fly fishing to shooting and archery - and then get back to us with feedback on their return that always seems to be along the lines of, "This was the best family vacation we've ever had." The warm, genuine staff hails from around the nation, but it seems almost everyone grew up on a ranch of their own. All this action works up an appetite, and from cowboy BBQ’s to five-course tasting menus, don’t expect to maintain your diet.

Even if you're not a "city person," chances are you're stopping into one on your way to (or from) some of the world's best places to unwind. But just because you're ultimately going to park yourself in a beach chair in the Cyclades, a Land Cruiser in the Sabi Sands, or a Riva Aquarama on Lake Como, there's no need to rush - there are joys to be found in city hotels as well. In stories today, we have some recent Local Foreigner team feedback on city properties to remind us all that the stops along the way can be highlights in their own right.

Baroque decadence is one of the hallmarks of Paris, but when we’re looking for sleek, chic, and (almost) boutique, we’re thinking Bvlgari. The 72-room Bvlgari Hotel Paris may be right on Avenue Georges V, but it’s an enclave unto itself, a slice of Italian style in the middle of the French capital (and don’t get us started on the ultra-dreamy penthouse garden). Head to stories for a peek into this singular property, and on to our blog for more of our Parisian favorites.

The first hint that Anne Poole is not your average traveler lies in her answer to one of Local Foreigner’s intake questions, which is, “What’s your worst travel experience?” Usually, we hear about missed flights or missing luggage, but Anne simply says, “Having a cobra loose in my room in Sri Lanka.” (Cue that gif of the guy blinking in abject disbelief.) There’s a lot more to be in awe about in Anne’s travel history – check it out in stories.

Were you worried we forgot about the Amalfi Coast this summer? One moment while I get my megaphone out: 📣 We will never forget about the Amalfi Coast. 📣 Local Foreigner partner Brooke Lavery just returned from a quick bleisure visit - yes, that's a portmanteau of business and leisure, and the perpetual travel style of advisors everywhere - reminded that Positano is the sort of place where you spend five days and feel like you've been recharging for three weeks. Head to stories for more feedback from team members who have paid recent visits to some of our most fabulous favorites.

Since its 1925 opening, Le Bristol Paris has been known as “l’hôtel silencieux” (the Silent Hotel) because of the staff's legendary discretion. But they're turning up the volume this year for their 100th birthday, celebrating the centenary in style with collectibles, suite renovations, fashion partnerships, and events around the globe. When hotelier Hippolyte Jammet acquired a private diplomat's mansion in the 8th arrondissment, his stated goal was to build the best hotel in Paris; ten decades of storied history have ensued, during which the hotel has played host to cultural icons, acted as the US Embassy during WWII, and been in the inaugural class of properties to receive the "Palace" distinction. Through it all, Le Bristol has maintained its distinct balance of refinement and personality, and remains one of the best hotels not just in Paris, but in the world. Wishing a joyeux anniversaire to our friends on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré - here's to the next 100 years. 🥂
