In memory of the 80th anniversary of D-Day yesterday it seemed fitting to share some pictures from the past.

One of our current projects is restoration work to the Grade 2 listed building of the former Victoria barracks in Bodmin….This was the home of the Duke of Cornwall‘s Light Infantry.

The pictures (courtesy of Bodmin Keep- Cornwalls Army Museum) show a snapshot into the fantastic history of this building and it’s role during both world wars.

It’s rather fitting that this was completed on the 80th D-Day anniversary given it’s prominent role as the former Victoria Barracks and home to the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.
