We left Springdale, Utah and made our way back to Zion National Park. We spent some time in the Visitor Center, had an informative talk by Ranger John about the big horn sheep that live in Zion at the Human History Museum, then had some time at Zion Lodge. A few of us hiked the Grotto and Kayenta trails (about 4 miles round trip). We enjoyed a park tram ride
with Kevin and learned more about Zion National Park! From there we are heading south bound to Las Vegas as we travel through the Mojave desert.

This morning we left the Lake Powell area and crossed the Glen Canyon Dam bridge.
Before we arrived to Bryce Canyon we had lunch at Ruby’s General Store. From there we traveled into Bryce Canyon National Park. We hiked along the rim to Bryce Point and to Sunset Point….spectacular!
After leaving Bryce Canyon we traveled on to Zion National Park and rode through a one mile tunnel (after this year it will be closed to motor coaches). We will see more of Zion tomorrow on a trolley tour. Our day ended in the quaint town of Springdale, Utah.

This morning we entered the Grand Canyon National Park again and traveled along the south rim. Our first stop was the Desert View Watch Tower….a 70 foot tall stone watch tower with views up to 100 miles. Our next stop was the Cameron Trading Post for lunch. From there we traveled to Lee’s Ferry where we boarded a river raft for a float down the Colorado River! On our river float we saw wild horses, and other wild life. While on the river we stopped and did a short hike to a protected petroglyphs area on the walls of the canyon. Another exciting day in the spectacular Canyonlands of the west!

We began our day at Mather Point Visitor Center at the South Entrance of the Grand Canyon. Most of the travelers were seeing this magnificent site for the first time! We spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the Bright Angel Lodge, The Arizona Room, El Tovar Hotel, The Hopi House and other historic places located along the Rim Trail. After leaving the Grand Canyon we enjoyed The IMAX production of The Grand Canyon. A spectacular day!
