This , I’ve been sharing practical ways we’re reducing the impact of plastic on my family and our daily lives, and today, it’s all about our laundry routines!🧺🫧
Yes, my dryer still gets some love, but I’ve embraced the glorious “washing line life” too! We’ve got lines inside for those classic PNW less-than-sunny days ☔, and an easily removable set outside for when the sun does bless us with its presence. All my trusty bamboo clothespins live in this super sturdy, durable, and frankly, exceptionally cute cloth and wire bag from PrairiePassions on Etsy – it’s a little piece of laundry joy!
When the dryer is on, those chemically-laced plastic dryer sheets are OUT. Instead, we’re obsessed with these fabulously adorable wool dryer balls from
A few drops of lavender oil on them and our clothes come out smelling amazing, feeling soft, and totally static-free! 🐑💜
And for the main event: our laundry detergent! The best part is the refillable liquid goodness from our local heroes,
It smells divine, cleans like a dream with simple ingredients, and saves so much plastic waste! ✨
These are all easy steps we took one at a time to reduce our plastic “dependency.” No need to overhaul everything at once – you can do it too!
