As we continue to celebrate Pride, we’re proud to share another inspiring testimony from one of our game-changers. 🌈
"I'd love to share my experience! In today's political climate in Portugal and around the world, where the far-right political parties are growing and threatening the q***r community rights and advancements towards equality. I feel its important to also share happy stories. I, Eduardo as a 27 year old, gender non conforming individual, pansexual/bisexual, have lived a proud and out loud life when it comes to my q***r experience. Natural from small city Vizela, Portugal, I grew up with not a lot of visibility, but with online communities I was able to navigate my journey till full realization, without a bigger pressure to follow the norms. I can also thank my parents, family in general and friends, who barely ever shamed me for my differences, my ways of expressing myself whether through clothes, activities and/or tastes and tried to understand me the best they could, today I am individually and fully accepted by each of them. As an adult I've lived and worked in Vizela, Braga and Porto, and in the many spaces whether of work or leisure I've been a part of, I've felt safe and respected, even in the adversities I encountered."

"(...) Eu, Eduardo, uma pessoa com 27 anos, de expressão de género não-conforme, pansexual/bissexual, tenho vivido a minha identidade q***r com orgulho e de forma visível. Natural de Vizela, uma cidade pequena em Portugal, cresci com pouca visibilidade, mas graças às comunidades online consegui orientar o meu percurso até à realização pessoal, sem grande pressão para seguir as normas estabelecidas.
Também tenho muito a agradecer aos meus pais, à minha família no geral e aos meus amigos, que raramente me envergonharam pelas minhas diferenças, pela forma como me expresso — seja através da roupa, das atividades ou dos gostos — e sempre tentaram compreender-me o melhor que conseguiam. Hoje, sou aceite individual e plenamente por cada um deles.
Enquanto adulto, vivi e trabalhei em Vizela, Braga e Porto e, nos vários espaços — de trabalho ou lazer — onde estive inserido, senti-me seguro e respeitado, mesmo nas adversidades que enfrentei."
