Today we say goodbye to the Rivers of America in the Magic Kingdom. Home to Tom Sawyer Island and The Liberty Bell Riverboat (pictured here in 1986 and mire recently at Christmastime), this area has been a beautiful feature of the park since its opening in 1971. Though I probably haven’t ridden it since then, I will very much miss the beauty this section brought to the park.

Happy 4th to my all time favorite roller coaster - Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando Resort. Built in total secret, yet right before everyone’s eyes throughout the pandemic, it opened on this day in 2021, after it was touted as a churro stand by Team Members to anyone who asked about its construction.

This ride is pure perfection and I will am prepared to fight anyone who disagrees!

🌎Happy 35th to Universal Studios Florida! I was lucky enough to go just a month or so after it opened in June 1990.
35 years later, Universal Orlando Resort is a full vacation destination with 4 theme parks and 11 resorts on property!

🎸 Rip Ride Rockit fans - you have only until August 17th to ride one last time before this coaster closes for good!
My first ride, I chose I Will Survive and I’ve been rocking the Muppets off the secret song list ever since. I’ll have to think long and hard about my choice for my last ride!

Mooommmmmmmm, Phineas and Ferb are coming back to Disney Parks!
Previously seen here in 2011 and 2013 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Phineas and Ferb are set to make their return, this time to Epcot! It’s been almost ten years since they’ve last been in the parks. Welcome back, kids!
