A costume so nice, we had to wear it twice!

The Bullock Family went all out this year on our Haunted Mansion-themed costumes for our Disney vacation. 🎃

First we debuted the threads sailing on the Disney Wish, where we enjoyed a Halloween on the High Seas sailing. Once we got off the ship, we attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

We loved being recognized by fellow ghost hosts, happy haunts, and other enthusiasts of Haunted Mansion Lore.

Between the Wish and our WDW trip, the highlight for us was dressing up together for this theme. It took extra planning, on top of all the details for a family Disney trip, but it’s what I’ll remember most. That…and Tron breaking down as our light cycles were ready to launch, leading to 15 minutes stuck in the restraints and an emergency exit. A bummer, but we were safe.

Home from a very ambitious and busy trip…and I’ve got say: I’m tired!

On any trip, but especially on a Disney trip, always struggle to balance getting everything possible done, and enjoying the small moments.

I have so much to share from this trip. But the overwhelming thought I’ve had since returning home is: you must chill. You must give yourself time to rest, time to soak in the moments of nostalgia and joy. Listen to your body’s signals to slow down and pace yourself.

After cramming as much as I could into 8 days, I keep thinking about ways I could have done this trip differently. I like to feel like I got a good value for the money spent, but what I wish I prioritized was a bit more downtime. So as I begin planning upcoming holiday trips and spring breaks with clients, don’t be surprised if I tell you to build in rest days.

One interesting thing: I spent a lot less time on my phone. I tried to limit screen time to taking pictures, responding to important messages, and getting information from the Disney Cruise Line and Disney World apps. When I got my weekly screen time report, I showed that my average screen time was FIVE HOURS less than usual. If I’d done my usual amounts of playing games and scrolling social media, I would have missed out on so many moments with my family.

Anyone who knows me, knows I travel frequently. But I don’t always get to travel with my family, all together. My 7 year old travels with me more than anyone else. My husband and I rarely travel just the two of us. And my 26 year old daughter lives halfway across the country from me, so our trips take a lot of coordination.

All 4 of us for a “vacation” takes months of planning. Endless screenshots, shared links, revisited dining reservations, hotel swaps, and costume collaboration.

But today begins Bullock Fall Break Disneypalooza 2026! 🎉✈️🎢🚢

Tonight we meet in Orlando. We’ll head towards Port Canaveral for our sailing on the Disney Wish that starts Monday…but we’ll spend a day at the Kennedy Space Center first.

We’ll set sail for Halloween on the High Seas for 4 nights, with a specially coordinated and spirited family costume. 🔮👻

When we return and disembark, we’re off to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We’ll don our costumes again for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. We’ll pack in all the excitement we can for the next two days at Hollywood Studios and EPCOT as well.

This is my first big multi-destination Disney vacation I’ve been able to plan for my own family since I joined the team at Hi Ho Vacations. I made our reservations last December, and we have been anxiously awaiting this trip for nearly a year.

• Scheduled to set sail from Tokyo in spring 2029

• Ariel and Sebastian will adorn the stern, using a dinglehopper to write the ship’s name

With the new announcements about Disney’s Believe this week, how about an overview of what makes each Wish Class ship different? While these sister ships are made in the same footprint, the vibes, the theming, the dining venues and bars vary by ship.

I sailed on the Destiny 6 months ago, reveling in the Heroes and Villians glory, drinking with hitchhiking ghosts at Haunted Mansion Parlor Bar and being mesmerized by Pridelands for dinner.

In a week and a half, I board the Wish for the first time. I’m excited to be enchanted with my family by princesses and sending my daughter to Wonderland at the Oceaneer’s Club so I can have adult time at Hyperspace Lounge.

I had my eye on sailing Treasure next…but maybe I’ll book Believe?! It’s so hard to choose!

The big Disney Believe reveal happens TODAY at 4:30 PM ET!!

After days of DCL sending fans, influencers, and travel advisors on a themed scavenger hunts aboard the Disney Wish, the speculation has been non-stop! There are clues for Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Snow White, Inside Out, Zootopia, and more.

With this afternoon’s reveal, we’ll finally find out what Disney has planned for the Believe — including its home port, sailing itineraries, dining and drinking venues, and specifics on their world class entertainment. ✨🤩

On October 1, 1971, the gates at Magic Kingdom opened for the first time, opening a new world of Disney Magic.

Today is the celebration of 55 YEARS of Cinderella Castle, Main Street U.S.A, exciting attractions, family traditions and countless magical vacation memories.

I’m headed to Walt Disney World with my family in 3 weeks to celebrate the magic. We’re boarding the Disney Wish for a 4 day Halloween on the High Seas sailing, followed by Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and days at the WDW parks.

Greetings from Universal Orlando!

I’m on site with Carrie Newhart - Hi Ho Vacations Planner for a Halloween Horror Nights Destination FAM trip. I’ll be in class today to find out all of the latest in Universal’s offerings, followed by resort tours. I want to always be up to date with the activities, festivals, accommodations, and foods to assist you in planning the best Universal vacations possible.

Looking for an affordable time to cruise? Use this as your guide! I am big on off-peak cruising because I love the savings. Yes, I’m still sailing Fall Break and Spring Break because of the days off school, but I’ve been monitoring rates and repricing as new promotions drop.

For a real life example, I’m going on Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas January 4-7. 2 adults in a balcony cabin is currently $560 (and potentially less depending on your residency state). If you go one sailing back in this ship, the same Ensenada cruise is $1800. It’s the sudden drop from peak pricing to low pricing.

If you want to cruise that sailing with me, my party crew is up to 17 people. I love taking first-time cruisers with me to show them the ropes, and an Ensenada cruise is a great way to dip your toes into the cruise life.
