White-fronted bee-eaters nest in colonies averaging 100 individuals, digging roosting and nesting holes in cliffs or banks of earth. A population of bee-eaters may range across many square miles of savanna, but will come to the same colony to roost, to socialize, and to breed. Feast on the fly.

Another of our favorite photos we managed to capture while on a safari with Nafuti Safaris in the South luangwa landscape.

Watching the African Giant (elephant) crossing the landscape gave us thrilling goosebumps, with it's majestic walk without a care in the world 🌍 ...

We love nature and wildlife. And you can experience such moments with Nafuti Safaris.

Leopard in lower Zambezi, Zambia

Solitary Creatures: Leopards spend most of their life alone. They are extremely territorial and prefer to even hunt alone, avoiding any competition over food and other predators. They come together to mate, and cubs stay with their mothers for 16-24 months and then they are on their own.

Leopards are incredibly athletic and known for their climbing ability. They often carry food into trees to avoid losing it to scavengers like lions and hyenas. They are also fast and can run up to 36 mph. In comparison, the cheetah, the fastest land mammal, runs 50 to 80 mph.

Lions on the look out in the tree , in Nsefu sector , South Luangwa.

Much of the association to pride is also connected with the way lions symbolize things like nobility, leadership and authority. Most cultures also associate characteristics like bravery and strength with pride.

Lions are sentient beings – they think, feel, and have unique personalities. Many animal sentience scientists suspect that lions are the most intelligent big cats. They think this because unlike most big cats, lions live in 'prides', meaning they have to figure out how to work together, in complex social groups.

African skimmers near Shakawe Botswana

The African skimmer (Rynchops flavirostris) is a species of bird belonging to the skimmer genus Rynchops in the family Laridae. It is found along rivers, lakes and lagoons in Sub-Saharan Africa.

African skimmers fly in lines over calm waters, and dip their lower mandibles in the water to feed. When the mandible touches a fish, the skimmer snaps its mouth shut. They feed mostly at dawn and dusk and have good night vision.

We encountered the beautiful African Wild dogs cooling off during the day , during our Safaris in Okavango Delta, Botswana.

As Much as African Wild dogs look super cute 🥺 and one might want to pet them , remember there is a reason why they are called WILD. They are very formidable hunters, that can hunt animals as big as Buffalos. They are pack hunters and have some of the best stamina in the animal kingdom, rarely giving up on their prey.

But we at Nafuti Safaris Love The African Wild dogs, as they hold a special place in our hearts.
