A week ago I was doing the full London transport tour — rail, DLR, bus, LNER — to get to Event Production Show & Confex.

It reminded me how many moving parts even a “simple” journey can have.

It’s also exactly why I started Cue & Away.
Travel is easy — until it isn’t.

And when you’re moving teams, schedules and budgets, those small variables matter.

Building something new is uncomfortable at times — but moments like this reinforce why it makes sense.

Putting a face to Cue & Away.

I’m Joseph — the founder behind it.

Starting this business has been equal parts exciting and uncomfortable.

Exciting because I truly believe the events and touring world deserves better when it comes to travel support.

Uncomfortable because building something from the ground up means putting yourself out there, backing your judgement, and trusting that relationships will follow.

I’ve worked around fast-paced environments long enough to know one thing — when travel goes wrong, everything feels harder.

Cue & Away exists to make sure it doesn’t.
It’s built on experience, relationships, and a genuine care for doing things properly.

A couple of days back in London for Event Production Show, International Confex & The PA Show — and a strong reminder of why I've built Cue & Away.

So much of this industry runs on relationships.
Conversations over coffee. Quick catch-ups between stands. Introductions that turn into collaborations months later.

It was brilliant to reconnect with familiar faces — and just as exciting to meet newexce teams, PAs, event organisers and touring professionals navigating increasingly complex travel demands.

Having worked around fast-paced environments, I know how much pressure sits behind the scenes. Travel is often one of the last things sorted — but when it goes wrong, it’s the first thing everyone feels.
That’s exactly why Cue & Away exists.
