Before making our way to the mighty Augrabies Falls, we made a colourful little detour to the Die Pienk Padstal in Kakamas – and what a treat it was!

From pink milkshakes to quirky photo ops and friendly smiles all around, this stop was pure joy! A perfect place to stretch the legs, grab a bite, and soak in some small-town charm with a splash of pink flair 💕

After a day of wild exploration and breathtaking scenery, there's nothing better than coming “home” to the lodge and sitting down to a delicious, hearty dinner.

With the scent of the Kalahari breeze drifting in and the sky putting on its nightly show of stars, we gathered to enjoy good food, great company, and stories from the road.

From perfectly grilled meats to flavourful local favourites, every bite tastes better in the heart of the wild. It’s the kind of evening where the laughs linger longer and the moments feel extra special.

“Every track tells a story. Every silence holds a secret.”

Day two in the Kgalagadi delivered even more incredible sightings — from elusive cheetahs weaving through the grass to majestic gemsbok silhouetted against a fiery sky.

But it’s not just the wildlife – it’s the feeling.
That deep stillness. The connection to something ancient. The realisation that here, in this wild and vast land, we are just visitors on nature’s terms.

As the sun sinks behind the dunes and the sky turns molten gold, we leave the park with full hearts and stories we’ll never forget.
