Minister Patricia de Lille Tours Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre Ahead of Official Launch

Minister of Tourism, Ms Patricia de Lille, is currently conducting a pre-launch inspection at the newly developed Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre in Golden Gate Highlands National Park.

The visit comes just hours before the official launch of what is set to become one of South Africa’s most exciting scientific and cultural tourism attractions. The centre, located in the Free State Province, Clarens, showcases the region’s rich paleontological history and is expected to draw significant local and international interest.

“This is a proud moment for South African tourism. The Kgodumodumo Dino Centre reflects our commitment to building sustainable, educational, and job-creating tourism projects in rural areas,” said Minister de Lille during the walkthrough.

The centre forms part of national efforts under the and initiatives to empower local communities, boost tourism, and promote the country’s natural and cultural heritage.

With state-of-the-art exhibits and family-friendly experiences, the is now ready to open its doors and welcome the world.

⚽ FIFA Club World Cup Thriller: Sundowns Fall Short in 7-Goal Spectacle Against Dortmund

In what can only be described as a football masterclass, Mamelodi Sundowns put on a gutsy and passionate performance against European giants Borussia Dortmund, but narrowly lost 4-3 in a breathtaking clash at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The match was packed with action from start to finish. Lucas Ribeiro opened the scoring for Sundowns in the 11th minute, setting the tone for a match that saw momentum swing like a pendulum. Dortmund responded quickly through Nmecha (16’), before Guirassy (34’) and Bellingham (45’) extended their lead to 3-1 before halftime.

The second half reignited Sundowns’ fighting spirit. Rayners pulled one back in the 62nd minute, only for an unfortunate own goal by Mudau to further tilt the scoreline. Despite the setback, Sundowns never gave up. Lebo Mothiba netted late in the 89th minute, but it was just short of sparking a complete comeback.

While it wasn’t the result the South African champions were hoping for, the brave display against one of Europe’s elite sides earned them praise from football fans worldwide.

One more game remains for Sundowns at the tournament, and their resilience and pride have already made a strong mark on the world stage.
