It's been four weeks since my unfortunate rib-altering injury, and I'm on day three of my new tour. After doing the Cape Town highlights, we just boarded the Rovos Rail for a three day trip to Pretoria. My only work, apart from being on standby, will be tomorrow morning at Matjiesfontein, and Thursday morning in Kimberley. I went on a recce and got some impressions of the lounges and dining cars, while most of the guests are still in their compartments.

"Triple Trouble" was the name we gave our small, enthusiastic band of adventurers going on a road - round - trip through Morocco, Marrakesh to Marrakech. None of us planned this thing in advance, it was a spur of the moment - everything seems to just fall in place - kind of event. Gate 1 just canceled my March tour, while two wonderful, life loving ladies, Jere from Texas and Tsegi from DC, who are travel buddies, were thinking of visiting Morocco and decided to contact me, their Southern Africa tour guide from a while back, for some advice. One thing led to another, and there we were, experiencing, exploring and learning about this wonderful country, together. After 14 days on the road, we just arrived back in Marrakesh with many beautiful memories, and one day to go before we head home. For me it was a great learning experience, especially traveling during Ramadan.
