For youth (under 35) who have started-up an I.T. related business and are based in Cape Town, I am running a 5-month mentorship programme, to guide the commercial development of your business. Workshops will be held in central Bellville, approximately one day a month, with some individual Zoom sessions. There is no cost sine this entire process is sponsored. Participants will automatically become beneficiaries of SEDA, which is administering the mentorship. I am looking for young people who are able to commit to programme dates, are interested in their own development and have already initiated their business idea (even as a pilot). My company requires two university students (or unemployed graduates) to recruit traders from townships and rural areas, to register them to apply for government funding for their small business. At least one student must speak isiXhosa as home language and the other Afrikaans. Both will be fluent in English. The work will be done during November (possibly) and December.
You will be required to:
- Identify informal traders in certain categories of business and provide me with details online
- Follow-up with traders to attend four-hour session, to complete documents. The student will attend over two or three days.
- Ensure that all paperwork is submitted by these traders
Student must have the ability to:
- Work online by positing basic information onto Google Drive (the company will create the system)
- Be available for workshop dates, for two days in Stellenbosch town (dates to be provided)
- Be able to communicate reliably on whatsapp, email
- Have a neat, clear handwriting
- Be prepared to be trained in completion of documents, physically and online
- Be vaccinated against Covid19
- Lives in Stellenbosch, preferably in Kayamandi and Cloetesville, Idas Valley or nearby farms
