I‘m Ryan and I'm so very excited to share my secrets with you, because when I finally mastered these autofocus skills, it blasted my photography to the next level of both, accuracy and speed.

Using the very same techniques I cover in this Nikon AutoFocus Guide, not only helped me decrease the amount of blurry pictures I ended up with after a day's shoot, but also taught me to shoot much faster and with more confidence, no matter what the subject was, or shooting conditions were.

The increased speed I learnt, resulted in me bringing home far more images tack sharp images, as opposed to blurry and unusable ones, that I could do nothing with but delete them.

Its difficult to say when the best time to visit Cape Town is, as it all depends on what type of experience you are looking for. If you prefer the summer vibe with lots of people, then summer is perfect, if you prefer less congestion and lower rates, then winter is the one for you. This is a lovely Cape Town City Half Day filled with adventure! The tour is jam packed with garden parks, mountain passes, pristine white beaches, granite rock viewpoints, health wraps on the beach & bus hopping, leaving you with no shortage of entertainment, and more importantly, great photos.

We start our Cape Town City Half Day Tour off, in one of Cape Town's most beautiful garden parks, right in the heart of the city bowl. Once a garden designed to grow and supply the early Dutch settlers with food, the garden has a long history. It holds one of the oldest trees in Cape Town as well as many magnificent oak trees, that team with life, as they are home to squirrels playing in them. The gardens are also home to many Egyptian geese and pigeons. Many great photography opportunities can be made here, from not only the wildlife that inhabit the park, but also the historical monument that lay within the gardens

After having explored and taken many great photographs in the Cape Town City gardens, we will continue our Cape Town City Half Day Tour journey up and over the mountain pass towards the sand white beaches. To do so we, will make use of Cape Town's pristine bus system to get us there. To get to the bus station, we take a quick 5-8 minute walk through Cape Town city, giving you some more great photography opportunities. While waiting at the bus station, you can quickly indulge in some delicious italian ice cream. Once the bus arrives, we will jump aboard and adventure onwards, over the mountain pass towards the beach

Welcome to the crystal white beaches of Cape Town! Here I will order us some delicious health wraps, while you explore and take some photographs. There are many great things to photograph here, from the ocean waves, to the humming array of people and entertainment. Once the food is ready, we will find a nice spot on the grass or sand to enjoy our lunch together, as you get your some sand between your feet and soak up Cape Town sun. Once we are done, our Cape Town City Half Day Tour continuities, as we walk along the promenade and I show you some more great photography tips

We enjoy a nice slow stroll along the beach promenade and road, as I take you to some secret rock viewpoints and beaches that only locals know about. Here you will get amazing photographs of our crystal blue oceans and white sands, with Table Mountain & the Twelve Apostles mountain range in the background. The massive granite rock viewpoints are a truly a sight to behold, and will leave you breathless. I enjoy coming here, no matter how many times I've been before. Our Cape Town City Half Day Tour finishes off here, once we have explored these magical viewpoints and taken many great photographs. Once done, we will take an Uber back to town or you may stay and enjoy the rest of the day on the beach.

A delightful Cape Town City Sunset tour, starting in the late afternoon at a coastal garden park. Once we have discussed some photography tips and tricks we head to a lighthouse before venturing down the coast, to enjoy some of Cape Town’s gorgeous beaches, promenade bike ride and finish off the day at a secret mountain rock viewpoint for sunset. Below is a breakdown of what to expect from the tour.

We start our Cape Town Sunset Tour off, in one of Cape Town's most beautiful garden parks, right along the ocean coast. The luscious green garden has many great photography opportunities, including ponds, streams, bridges, walkways, a waterwheel and plenty of small animals such as ducks and geese. All this with a fantastic view of the Cape Town Stadium and Table Mountain in the background. Here I will explain some camera and photography basics to you, showing you what to do to get the best photographs with your phone or DSLR, before we move on to the take a few photos of the oldest lighthouse in Cape Town.

After having explored and taken many great photographs at the coastal garden park and Cape Town lighthouse, we will continue our Cape Town Sunset Tour journey along the coast to some secret viewpoints that only locals know of, and that not many other tours will take you to. To add even more adventure to our day (and get a feel of being a Cape town local), we will make use of Cape Town's pristine bus system to get us there. After a quick 10 minute drive we will hop off the bus and head to our first viewpoint, where you will get many great photographs of the ocean splashing over massive granite rocks, We will walk along the coastal road and pass a large variety of viewpoints for stunning landscape scenery shots, before we stop for ice cream and bicycle rides

After our coastal photo walk, the next part of our Cape Town Sunset Tour is an exciting one! We stop at a humming little social spot along the coastal promenade, to take some photos of a very unique, ocean based public pool. While here you can choose to buy some snacks or ice-cream before we set out on an exciting, but relaxed bicycle ride along the rest of the coastal promenade. We will make many stops along the way to photograph some local statues and art as well as some stunning landscape views of Cape Town. Should the tide be high, we will see some huge splashes of waves coming over the promenade wall - lots of fun! Once done we will head back to end off the Cape Town Sunset Tour with a sunset on a mountain viewpoint

Then of course, no Cape Town Sunset Tour would be complete without the finale, a gorgeous sunset on top of a mountain viewpoint, high up in the sky, overlooking the whole of Cape town and its stunning white beaches. Here I will show you some valuable and professional photography tips, that I personally use to capture my sunset photos on a daily basis. It is recommended that you bring a tripod for this. There are lots of pocket sized tripods you can buy, for phones and DSLRs to get the best results. Here we will sit relax, photograph and enjoy as the Cape Town sun, sets behind the ocean horizon, before head back to the town drop off point.

A splendid morning half day, beach tour just outside of Cape Town city. We meet in town, before traveling out of the city, along the gorgeous nearby coastal area, filled with endless white beaches, local towns & promenades as well as many amazing postcard pictures of Table Mountain. We enjoy lunch on a beach deck restaurant before finishing the day at a wild bird sanctuary.

We start our Cape Town Beach Half Day Tour off, in Cape Town city where we will meet, before beginning our journey towards the beaches of Cape Town's alternative coast. These are some of the most beautiful beaches due to their never ending nature and fine white sand that travels far into the misty distance. One of the major landscape photography attractions here is the stunning angle of Table Mountain over the ocean While we are here I will teach you some secret photography tips on how to move the mountain closer to your subject, making it much larger than normal. We will also talk about leading lines for better landscape composition

Once we have finished exploring and taken great photographs of the white Cape Town beaches, we will continue our Cape Town Beach Half Day Tour journey up, along the coastline towards a lighthouse and bridge. Here I will show you some great photography tips on what to look for in black and white photography, as well as a neat trick, on how to shoot through fences or windows, without getting them in your photo. The bridge sits over a large river, that runs along the coast and makes for some great scenic landscape photos. Its also home to many seagulls and other birds. Once done here, we will head to a beach restaurant for lunch.

Before heading into one of the local favorite restaurants, we will take some photos of the beach, ocean and Table Mountain again, but from a slightly different perspective. Looking the other way, behind us, will give you a magnificent view of an untouched coastline, with lush green vegetation running alongside it. By now, all this beach photography has worked up quite the appetite, so we take our Cape Town Beach Half Day Tour up into a very special restaurant with a deck overlooking the beach that we just photographed. The stunning view, isn't the only thing this little gem offers however, as their selections of delicious burgers, pizzas and salads are amazing. Drinks will be on your own account, but you are welcome to order some.

Once our bellies are full from the delicious lunch, our Cape Town Beach Half Day Tour continues to our last stop for the day. We head off to a nearby wetland sanctuary, which is home to many wild birds. Here we will run through some photography basics of how to get the best shots of fast moving animals such as birds. The sanctuary is a lovely slow circular walk along a path, between bushes and reeds. While we walk, we need to keep our eyes open to try to spot some rare birds to photograph. We will also stop at some specially built,bird huts for us to get really close to the birds without them seeing us. The wetlands aren't just for birds and offer some great landscape photography opportunities. Once done here, we will head back to the city

We start our Cape Town Beach Sunset Tour off, in one of Cape Town's most gorgeous little coastal village, home to endless white beaches, ancient molten rocks and stunning postcard views of Table Mountain. While here we will take a nice photography walk along the local beach paths, as we enjoy the fresh, ocean air. We pass some local promenades, beach houses and rock viewpoints, all of which will deliver stunning photographs. Here I will explain some camera and photography basics to you, showing you what to do to get the best photographs with your phone or DSLR, before we move on to our next stop

After having explored and taken many great photographs at the coastal village with its relaxing coastal paths, we will continue our Cape Town Beach Sunset Tour journey, further down, along the coast to the local holiday promenade of the area. Here are many great photo opportunities to shoot, showing Cape Town lifestyle at its finest. We will have many great subject to photograph, such as surfers, kite-surfers, runners, kids enjoying ice-cream, cyclists and of course beautiful views of Table Mountain. To add even more adventure to our day (and get a feel of being a Cape town local), we will make use of Cape Town's pristine bus system to get us there.

We continue our Cape Town Beach Sunset Tour a little further down the coast, as we stop for lunch at an amazing seafood hotel, right on the beach. Here you will have the choice of seafood chowder/hake & chips/chicken penne recco or a selection of salads for vegetarians. Any drinks you order will be on your own account. Once we have enjoyed the delicious food, it's time to hit the beach, as we take a quick walk across a boardwalk to sink our feet into the fine white sands of the gorgeous area. Here you will see many locals playing with their dogs or kite boarders riding the wind and waves

By now, the sun is nearing the horizon and sunset is almost upon us. We move a little further down the coast to another local favorite area, where a lagoon meets the ocean for some stunning photos. From there our Cape Town Beach Sunset Tour will walk along the beach to one of my secret photography locations. Here we will set up on the pier and wait for sunset over the ocean and Table Mountain to come. Before it does I will give you some great photography tips on how to best shoot the sunset. It is recommended that you bring a tripod for this. There are lots of pocket sized tripods you can buy, for phones and DSLRs to get the best results.
