Navigate Africa Safaris We are tour operator based in Cape Town, South Africa which focuses on birding tours, wildlife and photographic safaris to Zambia and neighboring countries.

We also assist with destination management to Zambia for those unfamiliar with the country. Navigate Africa Safaris currently plans Fishing and Birding adventure safaris in Sub-Saharan Africa.

A stray Southern Elephant Seal lies on the washed up bed of kelp at Rooiels in the Western Cape. This amazing mammal is usually found in the sub-Antarctic regions and the largest mammal which is not a cetaceans, bulls reaching weights between 2000-4000 kg’s. They are also the deepest diving air breathing non-cetaceans diving depths over 1000m for up to 20 minutes to feed on squid. Deepest depth recorded are over 2000m. Such an incredible mammal.

Looks at this beautiful Southern Elephant Seal that has arrived on our southern cape shores on the beach at Rooiels. A first for me to see. We think he may have gotten lost after the major storms recently experienced and with two Orca’s in the bay he might be taking some time out of the water - just a theory.

Skeleton’s Waterfall - Kirstenbosch Gardens. We are truly very lucky to be able to say this waterfall lies on our doorsteps in Cape Towns southern suburbs. It’s a wonderful sight watching this waterfall and forest bounce to life after the recent rains. This is a colour pic of my previous B&W pic and slightly different composition.
