Did you know that the name Lions Heart is attributed to the mountain from the 17th century, when it was know in Dutch as Leeuwen Cop due to, alongside Signal Hill nearby, the shape resembling a crouching lion?

The vast history of this beautiful place goes back much further than this - it holds high significance to the Cape Malay community, who historically lived in the Bo-Kaap quarter close to the Lion’s head.

It’s been a tough year for travel.

And a tough year for many of our Globelles.

But it doesn’t have to be a tough year for adventure.

The 1st December for many represents the first day to be opened on an advent calendar.

Here at Globelle Travels HQ, we love the excitement and joy an advent calendar can bring.

But we decided to shake it up a little bit.

That’s why we’re very happy to announce the 2020 Globelle ‘Advent’ure calendar!

For the first 24 days of the final month of the year, we invite you to join our ‘advent’ure calendar journey - where we’ll be sharing a daily idea for how you can adventure (close to home) this festive season.

We hope our Globelle ‘Advent’ure calendar inspires you to finish 2020 living adventurously & feel connected to our community ✨ 💫

The calendar will be shared daily on our stories (but you can catch up on the ‘advent’ure highlight above if you miss a day)!
