The burning is a continuation of the legitimate science-based process ex-Minister Barbara Creecy and the government began to close down these industries. DA obstructionism will be overcome.

📢 BREAKING NEWS 📢 A symbolic lion bone burn

A symbolic burn of 42 boxes of lion bones representing 42 captive-bred lions that suffered purely for financial gain is a heartbreaking image. However, these skeletons can at least no longer enter the illegal circuit.

We will hold Minister Aucamp accountable to follow due process and not roll back this existing and democratically developed process, supported by a growing body of science-based and peer-reviewed evidence, of phasing out the commercial captive lion industry.
