Thailand is replacing its existing 60-day visa exemption scheme covering 93 countries and territories with a new three-tier entry system. The revised rules will allow visa-free entry for tourism only, aiming to prevent misuse of visa privileges and strengthen security measures.
Under the new system, nationals of 60 countries and territories will be allowed to stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days. Land-border entries will generally be limited to two times per calendar year, with some nationality-specific exceptions.
Two countries will receive visa-free stays of up to 15 days, while nationals of three countries will be eligible for Visa on Arrival. The new rules will take effect 15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette.

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bhutan, Brunei, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, South Korea, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Türkiye, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates.
