Food Trekkers

Food Trekkers Food Trekkers is the place for people who love to travel, who love food, who love different cultures, and who love a little adventure.

At Food Trekkers, we believe that food is one of the most enjoyable and interesting ways of exploring a region and learning about its culture and its people. Food trekking is an exploration of culture through food and the people who grow it, hunt it, harvest it, prepare it, serve it, share it, sell it, eat it, love it.

We loved the happy menu at our hotel in Rwanda. It made us chuckle every night...especially the dishes for None Vegetarians, the lion/porc fillets, the porck chops and the chicken breast sticks! There were also Beabcurd dishes such as Bearn curd with Shrimps and chill beancurd or Fried Noodle Kig Prawn (obviously written by someone with a blocked nose) and the inspirational "inspneapple" dishes were also fun! Even though everything we ate wasn't quite as delish as it could have been, it was always served with a smile and we went to bed happy!

We LOVE these ideas... South Africa has so much to offer and yet we still seem to hanker after all the exotics.
