💫 Most people will know you as a make-up artist represented by Nixon Make-Up, what don’t they know?
Before joining the Nixon team, I worked as a stylist after studying clothing and textile management. I also studied foundation phase education as well as Hair & make-up artistry. I love being in the creative space because my love for fashion make-up and hairstyling are all integrated.
💫 What moments in your work make you feel the most honoured?
I've always enjoyed interacting with people on a deeper level. Having the platform to allow for individuals to trust me enough to unmask themselves and giving them the freedom to have a space to express themselves where there are no false pretences or judgement makes me feel extremely privileged.
💫 Tell us about your family and how they have shaped you:
Growing up in a large and diverse family shaped me into a deeply creative and adaptable person. Being one of four girls on mom's side and part of a bigger sibling dynamic on my dad's side meant I was constantly surrounded by different personalities, perspectives and forms of expression. My eldest sister especially played a big role in shaping my confidence and creativity - she would always ask me to help coordinate outfits and do her hair and make-up before going out. Looking back, I think she saw something in me early on and encouraged me to embrace my talents and fully immerse myself in being authentic.
💫 What nourishes your soul outside of make-up?
The relationship that I have with my two kids - they keep me humble and remind me that the sky's the limit.
💫 What’s your beauty philosophy?
A quote that always hits home to me by Coco Chanel: “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” To me, beauty is unapologetic authenticity.
💫 What drives your passion?
My continued ambition for learning, combined with a genuine love for creative storytelling is what constantly inspires and pushes me forward.

My ability to overcome challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth.
