One from back in the early days of exploratories on the Nubian Flats of the Red Sea - a fine slab of a Geet.

Chocolate water and stiff wind meant we have to switch lines for deeper tactics and with some effort we managed some decent fish. More Rainbows than Browns this time, but who's complaining...?

A busy couple of days up in the Fee State. Sadly, old Dog has had to retire, but young Dog has been understudy for a while now and seems to have worked out what's going on! A good mix of Guinea Fowl, Francolin, Yellowbill and White Face Duck, Red Billed Teal, Shelduck and Egyptian Geese. Contact MacTavish Safari to arrange your custom trip [email protected]

Photobombed by the dog... Not huge, but a hard earned Kudu from the rugged high ground around Graaf Reinet, SA. This one was an early score. After that we spotted a big beast and stalked him for the rest of the day across 18km of rocks and thorn before the light failed. Proper hunting in spectacular scenery. Contact us at MacTavish Safari for your chance, as long as you're feeling strong and fit. Stamina required.

The world's largest goose, the Spurwing, brought to shore by the world's smallest dog (well, not quite). This one was in the Winterberg mountains of SA's Eastern Cape, at it's winter finest. Come with us to see the great outdoors of South Africa [email protected] .
