Seriously, these pots are like the superstars of traditional craft. This is why I adore northern Malawi—handmade with heart and a whole lot of smiles. The Warm Heart of Africa, indeed!

In Episode 11 of on YouTube we continue our epic journey from Knysna, South Africa, to Msasa in northern Malawi—5,000 kilometers of pure African overland adventure! After kitting out our Suzuki Jimny, we hit the road, with Rupert the dog stealing the spotlight. We cover 500 km on day one, easing into the rhythm of the safari life as we journey through South Africa on route via Botswana, and Zambia, heading towards the Warm Heart of Africa.

Slow and steady progress never tasted so good! Our very first braai at Msasa's Forest Lapa was pure magic—great company, delicious food, and the warmth of a crackling fire under the stars. Cheers to many more nights like this! 🍷🔥

After an epic day on the beach, we're heading up the mountain for a little friendly competition: can Andrew tackle all 21 hairpins of Gorodi Pass without a three-point turn? It's a nerve-wracking but exhilarating ride, and this bumpy hour-long journey on a 10 km road makes Gorodi Pass one of my favorite mountain routes in Africa! 🌍
