Quick Fact: Date of Easter Sunday (depending on your religion)

The date of Easter Sunday is every year on a different date, why?

Easter Sunday shall be the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal (March/autumn) equinox. If the full moon is on a Sunday, then Easter is delayed by one week. These “rules” were set by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD.

So the Vernal Equinox is on 20 March, the full moon following the Vernal Equinox is on 31 March, the first Sunday following the full moon is 1 April = Easter Sunday for 2018 is 1 April.

The date of Easter Sunday is every year on a different date, why?

Our B747, ZS-SAN, Lebombo, is open for viewing. However the cockpit is closed as the aircraft is considered “Live”. There is however a B747 “Classic” Simulator which is identical in all respects to the B747 cockpit and this may be viewed. The simulator is not operational.
