One thing safari does exceptionally well is remove the admin from the experience.

Guests trust the people looking after them and get on with enjoying the day, and we don’t think that should change when they arrive in Cape Town.

The scenery changes, the wildlife gets slightly more urban and lunch might appear on a beach rather than beside a watering hole, but the principle is much the same: put brilliant people in charge of the day, and let your guests enjoy the Cape without having to think about the logistics.

Recent sighting in The Cape 👀

We like to think of our Adventure Utility Vehicle (AUV) as the wheels to your Mother City Safari.

Because this vehicle is set up for a day of exploring, rather than simply getting guests from one attraction to the next.

Think eco-lodge on wheels: a gourmet pantry stocked with home-baked goodies and local snacks, a safari cooler with craft drinks, a hot-drinks wild café, and everything needed for a picnic on the road.

There are hiking packs and adventure gear on board, SUPs ready when the day calls for them, and for families, car seats, toy bags and child-friendly snacks too.

It's a good feeling when you know you don't need to take your phone out, because someone else is capturing the memories for you.

It’s one of those small luxuries our guests enjoy when exploring with us.

Our guides have become pretty handy behind the lens over the years, capturing the moments as they happen so that guests can stay firmly on the other side of the camera, fully present in the day.

As a team, we recently had the opportunity to experience the West Coast Mussels & Oysters Helicopter Experience, and it was a fantastic reminder of just how special this offering is.

We'll walk you through it, so you can imagine you joined us and know what to tell your guests😉

The adventure begins with a scenic helicopter flight departing from the Cape Town Helicopters helipad at the V&A Waterfront.

The greatest migrations don't always take place on land 🐋

Anyone can Google the best viewing spots. But our guides know the secret ones.

And, more importantly, we’ve got their finger on the pulse, with our back-office team keeping an ear out for sightings (think safari radio, but for whales).

We can even make a last-minute reservation when the viewing is good enough for guests to linger a little longer.

Of course, whales are wild and nobody can promise where they’ll appear. But knowing the coastline, and knowing when to abandon the plan and follow a tip, certainly helps.
