Edinburgh's Visitor Levy came into effect on July 24, making it the UK's first city-wide visitor levy scheme.

A 5% fee now applies to the cost of all paid overnight accommodation in the city. The fee is capped at the first five consecutive nights of a stay and is charged at the same rate throughout the year.

India now requires all international passengers to complete a Self-Declaration Form (SDF) before arriving in the country.

The form requires travellers to complete a 21-day travel history, including any visits to Ebola-affected countries.

Travellers must complete the SDF before departure and present a printed copy at immigration on arrival at their first airport of entry. 🇮🇳
