Explore iKasi is a mobile application that will be launched in August 2017. The App is set to change the way in which both formal and informal township business markets and accesses customers. The App aims to promote township business by creating a database of various services that are in high demand in the townships – ranging from barbers, hair salons, kota joints, vetkoek vendors, car washes and

other establishments. Unlike most platforms, Explore iKasi targets both formal and informal business, and does not require one to be registered with CIPC to be listed on the database. The team behind the platform wish to make Explore iKasi a user driven platform where “Explorers” get to rate in order to verify the existence ofa business. The more you are rated, the easier it becomes for your business to be verified, and that makes it easier for you to drive customers to your business.
