Giant trevally on turtle grass, it doesn’t get much cooler than that.

There’s something unreal about seeing a GT cruising over the green. You drop the fly, it turns, and suddenly you’re in it, line ripping, heart racing, chaos on the flats.

It’s wild, it’s simple, and it’s what makes Providence so special.

One cast, one shot, one epic reward.

Big bones. Big runs. Big memories.

St. Brandon’s Atoll is world-renowned for its trophy bonefish, fish that push well beyond the norm in both size and power. On a clear flat, with the tide creeping in and tails tipping in the distance, you get your shot.

Perfect presentation, slow strip… and then it’s off to the races. Line peeling, reel screaming, and that unforgettable rush that only a proper bonefish can deliver.

This isn’t your average bonefish fishery, it’s the big leagues.

The GTs of Providence Atoll don’t whisper, they arrive like wrecking balls.
Backs out the water, pushing serious wake, eyes locked on the fly. These fish aren’t here to play. They’re aggressive, territorial, and when they commit… it’s pure carnage.

Providence is home to one of the densest populations of Giant Trevally on the planet, and every session on the flats feels like stepping into their domain. Explosive eats, brutal fights, and moments you’ll never forget.

This is GT country.

The holy grail, Indo-Pacific permit on the flats of St. Brandon’s.

These fish are the ultimate test of skill, patience, and precision. One wrong step, one rushed cast, one sloppy strip and they’re gone. But when it all lines up, perfect light, clean presentation, and a tailing fish feeding hard, the eat is pure magic.

St. Brandon’s offers some of the best Indo-Pacific permit fishing on the planet, and every fish landed here is truly earned.

When two Giant Trevally eat at the same time, chaos is guaranteed — reels screaming, lines crossing, and guides yelling “don’t stop stripping!” These apex predators don’t mess around, and when they’re hunting in pairs or packs, you better be ready for a serious battle.

Hooking one GT is special. Hooking two at once? That’s a memory burned into your brain (and your drag system) forever.

Targeting trophy bonefish on the flats of St. Brandon’s requires precision, stealth, and accuracy.

These larger bonefish exhibit heightened wariness, often holding just beyond sight in crystal-clear, shallow waters. Successful anglers must master low-profile stalking, precise false casts, and delicate presentations to avoid spooking them. Once hooked, expect powerful, sustained runs deep into backing that test both angler and tackle.

St. Brandon’s offers a challenging environment that rewards refined technique and patience with some of the finest bonefish in the Indian Ocean.

Indo-Pacific permit cruising the turtle grass flats of St. Brandon’s are a true test of stealth and skill.

These ghostly fish are masters of disguise, blending seamlessly into the grass as they hunt for crabs and mollusks. Spotting them takes sharp eyes, and tempting a cast demands perfect presentation. One wrong move and they vanish. But get it right, and you’re in for a battle that will push your fly fishing game to the limit.

The flats here aren’t just beautiful, they’re a proving ground for anglers chasing one of the ocean’s most elusive and rewarding species.

Bumpies, the bruisers of the flats.

Catching a Bumphead Parrotfish on fly at Providence Atoll is equal parts chaos, comedy, and pure grit. These massive vegetarians tail across coral flats, hoovering algae with their beak-like jaws, and when hooked, they turn into unstoppable reef tanks.

Forget finesse, you’re in for a wild, drag-melting ride with one of the toughest and weirdest fish you’ll ever target on fly.

Double trouble on the flats of St. Brandon’s!

When the tides line up and the bones flood the shallows, magic happens. Crisp casts, tight lines, and that electric first run. Doubling up on big bonefish in skinny water is what this place is all about. Pristine flats, world-class fish, and moments you’ll talk about for years.

Meet the Yellowmargin Triggerfish — one of the most technical and rewarding species to target on the flats.

Found tailing over coral and turtle grass, these fish are incredibly wary and demand a stealthy approach, precise casts, and perfect fly presentation. Their powerful jaws are built for crushing crabs and shellfish, and once hooked, they head straight for structure, making every fight a nail-biter.

It’s a true sight-fishing challenge, but if you can fool one you’ll never forget it.
