Meeting and introduction at Hector Pieterson memorial.
Experienced Tour guides will share heart felt stories about what transpired in Soweto on this day 46 years ago, on what was meant to be a peaceful march by students and actually turned to a traumatic fatal experience.
We will hear stories of the Soweto uprising and visit museums that will further bring light on the matter. We will also visit Mbuyisa makhubo's home (an 18 year old child who feared for his life after seeing himself in a front page newspaper that reflected the events of this tragedy, who then fled the country to a refugee camp in Nigeria and was never seen again ). We will pass by the Phomlong clinic and Mbuyisa Makhubo primary school en route to the students confrontation corner on Moema and the famous Vilakazi street ,which is home to two Nobel prize award winners named Nelson Mandela and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu .
