✨ MAY 2026 LADIES PADEL RETREAT ✨
📍 St Francis Bay, South Africa
Day 3&4 🎉🚐🛍️‼️
DAY 3 – FRIDAY ✨
Friday morning started early with one of the most magical sunrise outings of the retreat. 🔆🌅
We headed to Bruce’s Coffee at Granny’s Pool where the ladies watched local swimmers doing their icy morning ocean dips while others enjoyed the mobile sauna overlooking the sea. The group walked the stunning coastline and bush paths and watched surfers taking on the famous waves at Bruce’s Beauties — one of South Africa’s most iconic surf spots.
After breakfast and coffee runs, we returned to The River Club for another morning of coaching and round robin games. 👏Friday’s coaching focused more on teamwork, partner movement, court coverage and strategically moving to the net together.
The afternoon once again brought massages, relaxation, chats on balconies, beach walks, swims and wonderful conversations. 💛
Some ladies also chose to play additional competitive matches against local players, adding even more exciting padel to the weekend.🎉
That evening, the ladies enjoyed one of the highlights of the retreat — a beautiful sunset canal cruise through the St Francis Bay waterways, the ladies soaked in the beauty of St Francis Bay from the water.
After the cruise, the evening unfolded in different ways:
• Some ladies enjoyed dinner at their villas
• Some headed out for dinner and dessert
• Others relaxed together chatting late into the evening
• Some ladies stayed in playing card games and simply enjoying each other’s company
✨ DAY 4 – SATURDAY ✨
Saturday was tournament day — and the excitement was high from early morning. ⭐️💛
Some ladies started the day with sunrise swims at Cape St Francis Beach, while others walked to the local bakery or enjoyed a slow breakfast at the villas, and other did some shopping in town before heading to The River Club for the Ladies Retreat Classic Tournament.
The tournament kicked off at 10am with exciting round robin rounds throughout the morning, followed by finals and playoffs in the afternoon. The atmosphere was incredible — competitive yet supportive, with laughter, encouragement and great sportsmanship throughout the day. 🛍️💕
We enjoyed a beautiful harvest table lunch at The River Club before finishing the tournament and moving into prize giving, where every single lady received a prize for her efforts and contribution to the retreat.
🏆 Tournament Winners:
Brenda & Adele from Durban 🐬
🏆 Finalists:
Nadia & Razya from Zambia 🇿🇲
After padel, the ladies headed to The Cove for a breathtaking sunset picnic overlooking the Kromme River and the St Francis Bay coastline. 🌅We sat with music playing, while the sun disappeared over the water, surrounded by local fishermen and families enjoying the evening. It was one of those truly magical St Francis Bay moments.
That evening, we returned to the villa for our final dinner — a delicious steak and prawn feast catered by Coastal Collective. After dinner, the ladies taught us Lebanese dancing and the dining room quickly turned into laughter, dancing and celebration.
Some ladies later headed out for oysters and dessert at Chokka Block at the port, while others stayed behind relaxing at the villas and soaking up the final evening together.
✨ DAY 5 – SUNDAY ✨
Sunday morning arrived far too quickly.
Some ladies headed for one final sunrise swim at Cape St Francis Beach while others enjoyed sleeping in and soaking up the peaceful final moments at the villas before packing up and heading back to the airport for flights home.
What makes these retreats so special is that they become about so much more than just padel.
Women arrive as strangers and leave feeling connected, refreshed, inspired and re-energised. There were laughs, tears, deep conversations, encouragement and genuine connection between women from so many different walks of life.
What a truly incredible group of ladies. 🤍
Until next time…
