Have you ever stopped in Mossel Bay? 👀 While it isn’t the most iconic highlight of the Garden Route compared to places like Wilderness or Plettenberg Bay, it’s still worth pulling over for a few hours (or even an overnight stop) if you’re passing through.

• Blue Shed Coffee Roastery – great coffee and perfect if you want to take home some quality coffee beans.
• Baruch’s Coffee Beans 🫘 – another great stop if you’re into specialty coffee.
• De Huijs – a cozy spot for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
• Koch Kaai 4 – local favourite for relaxed meals and drinks by the water.
• The Marbled Wagyu – great spot if you’re looking for good meat and a more elevated dining experience.
• The Oyster Bar – fresh seafood with ocean views.

Sometimes, when we just want to get out quickly for a little walk, we end up in the Company’s Garden again. 🌿
And somehow, the places you know best can still surprise you the most — if you simply look up for a second.

This view felt like such a beautiful reminder that even the “usual” spots can show a completely different perspective.
Maybe sometimes we just need to open our eyes again to the things we’ve already become used to. ✨

Early morning game drives with Rudolf and Tando, endless bush views and some of the most incredible wildlife moments we’ve ever experienced.

From elephants crossing the road right in front of us to giraffes, a lion family, a beautiful male lion and even leopards 🐆 — we honestly still can’t believe we were lucky enough to spot one every single day.

There’s just something about safari life. The quiet moments, the tracking, the excitement and the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature.

One of those trips we’ll never forget 🤍

Luxury Stay in the Kruger 🐆✨

POV: waking up in the middle of the African bush, hearing elephants in the distance and sipping your morning coffee with endless views over the wilderness… 🐘☕️✨

For Part 1 of our Kruger series, I wanted to show you the place we called home during our safari adventure: Simbavati Hilltop Lodge in the Timbavati Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. 🌿

We stayed in one of their beautiful glamping-style safari tents and honestly… it felt unreal. Luxury safari vibes mixed with raw nature all around you. The tents are built on a hill overlooking the bushveld and every moment there just felt special. 🤍

What made it so unforgettable:

• super exclusive & peaceful atmosphere
• beautifully designed safari tents
• incredible food & dining experiences 🍷
• outdoor showers with bush views
• daily game drives deep into the bush
• leopard sightings every single day 🐆
• Big Five almost immediately

The guides and trackers were amazing and made every drive feel like a real adventure. We honestly couldn’t believe how lucky we were with the animal sightings.

Yes — staying in a private reserve in the Greater Kruger is definitely a bucket list experience and also a bit of a splurge… but if you dream of doing a luxury safari one day, this was truly unforgettable. ✨

WILDERNESS — your Garden Route slow-down spot 🌿

One of our favourite stops along the Garden Route — we literally never skip it.
Good coffee, slow vibes, and just that feeling of arriving.

We stayed in a super cute little spot overlooking Wilderness — simple, but special.
Bathtub with a view, a little yoga corner, and surrounded by nothing but green 🌄

🐾 pet-friendly (always a win for us)

They have multiple tiny container-style houses —
ours was more on the basic side, but some of the others come with a bit more comfort if you’re looking for that ✨

Wilderness facts (save this 👇):
• part of the Garden Route
• long, wild beach — perfect for walks & sunsets 🌊
• beautiful waterfall hike in the forest (so worth it!)
• mix of mountains, lagoon & ocean
• super chill, not overly touristy
• perfect road trip stop for coffee & food ☕️
