Happy National Exercise Day!!

Did you know that walking benefits both mind and body?

This is especially the case for guests who’ve endured a long flight and are about to embark on days of safari indulgence!

Walking is a gentle form of exercise that gets the blood flowing, relaxes the muscles, and helps combat jet lag (and we know how exhausting that can be, and how it eats into holiday time!)

The rhythmic motion of walking, or the exhilarating rush of hiking also releases endorphins that reduces stress, lifts moods, and boosts overall well-being. And let's not forget the views which Cape Town has to offer - what better way to help your guests unwind and forget the hustle and bustle of their everyday life.

Can you think of a better way to kick-start an African adventure?!

We’re a Trade-Only, Partner-Focused Operator.

What does that mean?

Well, firstly, we only work with the Travel Trade (DMCs and tour operators) and don’t take direct bookings from guests. As proudly South African operators, we also support our local partners with Partner Discounts to give them a competitive edge.

And finally, we’re terribly fussy about the experiences we offer: tailoring each day to the group’s fitness levels and preferences, including a surprise “Trailside Tea” on every itinerary, and weaving in cultural narratives and thoughtful touches to ensure the guest experience exceeds expectations.
It’s all about making YOU shine.

Choose SLOW, we’re a true industry ally!

**IMPORTANT REMINDER**

All our trips are post-billed and consolidated into a single invoice, which you will receive at the end of the travel month.

Your Booking Confirmation, sent upon confirming your reservation, includes all the details you need for client invoicing. We've streamlined this process to make life easier for everyone—no more chasing down admin for refunds on unused cable car tickets due to bad weather or any other changes on the day.

We only invoice for what was actually completed on the day.
Simple as that and all part of the SLOW service!

Chains & Ladders Lions Head Hike (Half Day)

Lion's Head, which peaks at 2,195 feet (669 meters) above sea level, is a Cape Town icon known for its jaw-dropping 360-degree views.

With SLOW, Lion's Head comes alive under the guidance of our local guides, who reveal many little-known facts about this iconic landmark during the relatively easy (albeit steep) spiral route summit.

For example, did you know that in the 17th century the peak was known as Leeuwen Kop (Lion's Head) by the Dutch, and Signal Hill was known as Leeuwen Staart (Lion's Tail), as the shape resembles a crouching lion or a sphinx?

Our Gardens to Grapes itinerary offers your guests the opportunity to appreciate two beautiful destinations in one day: a seamless fusion of floral splendour at the Cape Floral Kingdom in beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, and the opportunity to taste fine wines from estates that put South African vineyards on the map. It's an adventure that will give your guests a taste of the best that Cape Town has to offer.

The day starts with a guided walk through Kirstenbosch Gardens where your guests will snake their way through the tree-top canopy of The Boomslang walkway. They will continue hiking up and out of the gardens to a forested contour path with spectacular views of False Bay and the Constantia Winelands in the distance. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent sampling some of the best wines the Cape has to offer from some of the most historic vineyards in South Africa.

Happy International Human Rights Day!

Did you know that part of our human rights is the “right to roam”? The freedom to roam, or "everyman's right," is the general public's right to access certain public or privately owned land, mountains, lakes, and rivers for recreation and exercise.

Aside from the more serious note of celebrating the universal rights and freedoms that make us all unique and valued members of society, and the reminder to be a voice of solidarity for those who may not have one - today we are celebrating our right to hike!

Everyone deserves the freedom to connect with nature and explore the great outdoors, and we are here to provide your guests with the opportunity to do so on some of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks: Table Mountain, Lions Head, and in the Cape Peninsula.

Our Cape of Great Walks allows your guests to discover the captivating beauty and iconic landmarks of the Cape Peninsula. Our guide will lead your guests along lesser-known tracks and trails, showcasing the stunning coastal and mountain scenery of the Cape Point Nature reserve and the bucket-list wonder of the Boulders Penguin Colony.

We begin the day with a beach and bush hike in a remote corner of Cape Point Nature Reserve, where your guests will be see fynbos, rock pools, a shipwreck, and WW2 history, topped off with an on-the-go picnic. The morning also includes optional walks to the Cape Point lighthouse and the Cape of Good Hope.

We’ll then take guests on exclusive "insider" walking routes at Boulders Penguin Colony, famed for African Penguins and beautiful beaches framed by boulders and azure waters between Simon’s Town and Cape Point.

As the day ends, guests can unwind with a sundowner on the iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive. Fondly called “Chappies” by locals, it’s famed as one of the world’s most spectacular marine drives, with 114 curves, sheer sea drops, towering mountains, and stunning 180° views.
