Hi everyone. Thank you for your incredible generosity in supporting Sherry's battle against cancer. Your kindness has been a beacon of hope during this challenging time for Sherry and her family.

Over the past month and a half, Sherry has faced tremendous difficulties following her successful stem cell transplant in mid-2023. Despite this initial success, she contracted a CMV infection that has proven to be relentless. The medical team has exhausted various expensive treatments from around the world, but the infection persists, causing Sherry to suffer significant weight loss as her body fights this aggressive disease.

Recently, a troubling development emerged as an MRI scan revealed that the CMV infection has led to a brain infection. Sherry is now scheduled for a lumbar puncture to determine the extent of this infection and the best course of action for treatment. However, the primary challenge remains bringing the CMV infection under control.

In a final effort to combat the CMV infection, the doctors have identified a crucial medication. Unfortunately, this medication comes with a hefty price tag of R44004.30, which Sherry's medical aid does not fully cover. With the total cost of the medication being R337180.12, Sherry and her family are left with a significant amount to raise in order to obtain the treatment she urgently needs.

This additional financial burden comes on top of the already substantial costs the family has incurred over the past 8 months. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in Sherry's fight for her life.
