At the same time, Great White Pelicans gather on the island as they prepare for another breeding season, this is one of the most spectacular wildlife events on our coastline.
As Dassen Island is a protected nature reserve, we don’t land on the island. Instead, our boat-based ecotours allow you to experience these incredible seasonal highlights from the water while respecting the wildlife and the island’s fragile ecosystem.
