Nc’wala isn’t just a festival .. it’s one of Zambia’s oldest thanksgiving ceremonies, where the Ngoni people honor the first harvest and seek blessings for the new farming season. Long before modern calendars, this ceremony marked nature’s new year.

Nc’wala Fundraising Walk 2026 in Lusaka
This year, the walk took place from kabwe round about to East park, bringing together participants from all over the city 🇿🇲.
It was amazing to see tourism leaders, celebrities, and culture enthusiasts matching step by step to support Zambia’s rich heritage and the upcoming Nc’wala celebrations.. The event showcased vibrant, celebrating culture and unity.
