The Malachite is a gorgeously refurbished 60‑ft double‑decked pontoon houseboat, chartered through Zambezi Drift, that elegantly blends modern comforts with safari spirit. Designed for groups of up to 16 guests—although most cruises host around 12 for maximum comfort—it’s the perfect vessel for small families or friends seeking adventure and relaxation intertwined.
Six air-conditioned ensuite cabins on the lower deck, offering double or twin bedding configurations and private bathrooms. For extra guests, the top deck features four mattress bunks under the stars—ideal for those who love waking to lake breezes and hippo wake-up calls. A guest toilet on board adds flexibility.
The top deck is a bright, inviting space with a handcrafted wooden bar (tap + ice machine), large dining table (seating 8–12), and lounging area—a perfect hub for sundowners. Enjoy the splash pool at the bow, where you can cool off mid‑cruise, watch water-level wildlife, or relax between activities.

To all clients that travel with us and are going to travel with us to Mozambique- please note that travelling to Mozambique, you now have to register yourselves on the Mozambican Evisa website even if Visa for most of countries is not necessary. This process has to be done at least 48h before guests' arrival in Mozambique. Many documents are required but it is just a formality. We can provide the invitation letter requested if you confirm guests' passport numbers and full names.
They ask for financial proof; copy of the credit card or the swift/bank account numbers are enough; no need to justify incomes... Guests will receive a confirmation with a QR code right after their registration process. In case of any problem, do not hesitate to come back to us.

The price to enter Mozambique is 650MZN and is to pay on arrival.

We don't understand why they finally decided to reinstate this process if visa is not needed but in order to avoid any inconvenience, we highly recommend your clients to register before their stay.
