Sharjah has a reputation for its cultural preservation and its special interests in education, the arts and heritage. Projects such as authentic architecture and souk preservation, a large number of museums and galleries, together with Sharjah’s special Natural History Museum, Desert Park and Arabian Wildlife Centre, have drawn on natural assets and created a unique series of experiences that visitors can enjoy, regardless of where they are staying in the UAE. In addition, Sharjah has recently strengthened efforts to promote tourism. Part of the emirate’s attraction is its shopping facilities, with six major shopping malls including four souks. Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority is implementing new measures, and the development and improvement of tourism in Sharjah is being given high priority
