So… what’s next for Keen Travellers? ✈️🌍🚢

The last year has been a pretty incredible one.

Since December, I’ve travelled around the world for six months — experiencing new places, revisiting old favourites, discovering new ways to travel and, of course, continuing to look after my clients along the way.

We’re now back in the UK… although I’m still not entirely convinced we’re staying here long term!

So, naturally… I’ve booked a cruise. 😂

In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be heading off on Celebrity Xcel — the newest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet.

And I’m VERY excited to see what she’s all about.

One of the things I love most about running Keen Travellers is being able to experience travel for myself. It means I can come back with genuine first-hand knowledge and help my clients choose the right holiday for them.

A tale as old as time… ✨

Beauty and the Beast at Tokyo Disneyland nearly made me cry.

The storytelling, music, and attention to detail are simply incredible. It’s one of those rare attractions that stays with you long after you’ve left.

As a parent, I was also impressed by the support available for families with additional needs, helping everyone enjoy a little bit more of the magic.

Keen Travellers on tour… 🚆

Somewhere between Bangkok and Chumphon, watching the world blur into endless shades of green, powered by snacks, strong air con, and a quiet kind of excitement for what’s next.

Not smiling… but definitely happy. Sometimes the best travel moments aren’t the posed ones — they’re the slightly tired, slightly flushed, “we made it out of the city” kind. Bangkok, you were incredible… but also very hot. 🥵

Now it’s all about slowing the pace, heading south, and counting down to island life. Tomorrow we swap train tracks for turquoise waters as we make our way to Koh Tao. Think long-tail boats, warm sea breezes, and that first proper exhale when your feet hit the sand.

This is what we love most about travel — the in-between moments. The journeys that connect the big highlights. The change of scenery, the shift in energy, the feeling that something amazing is just around the corner.

Next stop: Chumphon.
Next adventure: Koh Tao.

As many of you know, more and more people are now choosing to travel overseas for medical and wellness treatments and it’s something we’re really excited to start helping our clients with at Keen Travellers.

Today was a perfect example of how seamless this can be. Whilst in Bangkok, we arranged a full blood test with MedEx, and the experience was honestly incredible from start to finish. Our appointment was at 8am, where a nurse came directly to our hotel — no waiting rooms, no stress, just completely convenient and private.

By 8pm the very same day, most of the results were already back, with just a few still to follow. The turnaround time is something you’d struggle to find back in the UK, and the pricing was extremely competitive too, especially considering this also includes a follow-up consultation with a doctor to go through everything in detail and provide guidance.

This is exactly the kind of service we’re looking to bring to our clients, combining travel with high-quality, efficient healthcare options around the world.

And we’re only just getting started… next up for us will be exploring scalp treatments in Japan and dental treatments in South Korea, so we can continue building trusted recommendations and first-hand experiences.

Just pulled into a rest stop for breakfast… and parallel parked an 8m motorhome into a tight gap between two vehiles in one clean swoop, first attempt.

I am genuinely buzzing. Like… who even am I right now?
