I am reflecting on a truly inspiring and celebratory day we had yesterday. Travel counsellors celebrated its 10th anniversary and celebrates the achievements of its team at the stunning Park Hyatt Dubai.

It was wonderful to catch up with peers and suppliers during the conference.

It was a packed, fun, and inspiring day with learning about destinations, and stunning properties, sharing best practices with colleagues and being genuinely inspired by two exceptional ladies, and .

I am grateful to be part of such a caring and great community.

On September 12th, I celebrated a year since I started the incredible journey of opening a new chapter in my life and joined Travel Counsellors.

It’s been an exciting, overwhelming year. I became a travel agent to help others plan and enjoy their destination of choice while expanding my knowledge and understanding of different places and how others have enjoyed their time there.

I plan to book travel within the UAE and abroad for all my customers and to continue engaging with travellers, venture to new places, connect with new people, learn about different cultures and heritage, and build international relationships.

40km from Phuket in the Krabi province lays Ko Phi Phi (Ko means island in Thai), one of the most famous islands in Thailand.

Maya Bay, made famous by the movie The Beach featuring Leonardo DiCaprio was stunning as it had been closed since 2018 to allow the ecosystem to recover.

Maya Bay just reopened in early 2022. Boats are no longer allowed in the bay; tourists can stay on the beach for one hour and cannot swim. Nature has taken back its place, for now.

We enjoyed a leisurely dip in the emerald water while admiring the raw jungles, in another bay.

A rain shower blessed us as we were swimming. This was blissful.

Later, the captain set off to the Monkey Bay (Yong Kasem Bay), one of Krabi’s best-kept secrets located on a peninsula on Koh Phi Phi Don. It’s only inhabited by the colony of crab-eating macaques (they do not eat seafood)!

We jumped in the crystal-clear water from our boat to snorkel. We enjoyed watching colorful coral gardens, various muti color exotic fishes, and the whole marine life.

Fancy a bit of shopping or indulge in a delicious mango sticky rice, visit Tonsai Village? The main street offers a variety of good restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and shops.

Ko Phi Phi is a place to be visited at least once in life and is definitely a postcard-perfect trip.

The call of the wildness!

Are you looking to spend a magical holiday where you can escape reality?

Look no further; on the western edge of the Savu Sea, 30 minutes flight from Bali, Indonesia; you will be in awe of Sumba Island, a mystical and authentic hidden gem.

The foundation has set up four medical clinics and a Malaria training center and has developed over 100 water wells and water stations. Its goal is to eradicate malaria on the island entirely. It has also provided a food program to overcome malnutrition.

Phuket, the pearl of the Andaman

Dive into the heart of Thai culture, immersed in this beautiful island's scents, sounds, and sights.

Last week, I went on a familiarization trip to the Club Med in Phuket with five other Travel Counsellors and dnata peers. What a fun-packed fam trip this was with many friendly G.O.s.

It was my first Club Med experience. What an eye-opener this was! The place is filled with so much love; it’s like a big family & friends’ vacation, where everybody comes together, everyone knows one another and all looking for the same thing – fun under the sun!

The Club Med is between the verdant mountains and crystal-clear oceans on Kata beach. This upmarket, all-inclusive resort appeals to active families who enjoy exploring Mother Nature and equally look for comfort.

Club Med Phuket is a great family vacation spot where everyone can spread out, stay safe, and have fun. You can expect a packed schedule of activities, entertainment, free classes, snorkeling, and excursions. You can jump into the ring for a Thai boxing lesson. Expect to hear a lot of Doo doo doo (you will understand once you are facing the Muay Thai Kru), play tennis, play a round of golf with a golf pro, or put on your chef’s hat and learn the art of Thai cuisine with a talented local chef.

Spend a cherished family holiday exploring a Buddhist temple, visiting an elephant sanctuary, and following Leonardo De Caprio's footsteps on Phi Phi Islands onto Maya Bay.

Enjoy a dip at the Zen Pool, an adult-only pool, or pamper yourself at the spa if you wish to have some me-time while the children have a fabulous time at the kids club.

There’s a different theme with a dress code to match every night. I loved that part too! It was fun and so much easier to pack my suitcase!

The G.O’S and le Chef du Village put together impressive shows, from the choreography, the costume themselves, and the content.

On the first night, we were taught the Club Med Dance called the “Crazy Signs.”

We were spoilt by an endless and generous amount of buffet food. I was impressed by their widespread vegan options.

I loved every second of the Club Med. It was my first and will certainly not be my last. Next time I am going with my family.
